During the peak tourist season, coastal locations in the UK generate substantial revenue, significantly boosting local and regional economies. Portsmouth's tourism revenue in peak months, July and August, can range from £106 million to £133 million, reflecting about 20-25% of its annual total. While exact figures vary by location, the summer months contribute a major portion of annual revenue however these locations still operate throughout the rest of the year.
